The key to a successful weekend trip home

Rest and repose from the hectic workaday world of big city life?  Nope, not it

Home cooked meals and a free bed?  Can take it or leave it

Spending time with family?  Getting warmer, but no

The true testament of a successful weekend trip home…is a Target run.  And momma made a doozy this weekend.  On Sunday afternoon, my sister, mother and I attacked the clothing clearance racks, home goods aisles and household item shelves with reckless abandon.  I spent about $70 and got approximately one million awesome things.

Including these.

I finally bought those crazy socks I’d been dreaming of for a month!  The only ones they had left were the gray and black version, which looked more gray and navy online, but no matter.  They’re also a lot more, Wicked Witch of the West (East? whichever one got crushed by the house) than I anticipated, so I have to figure out how to wear them properly. I think they’ll get a weekend run before they see the fluorescent daylight of the office.  But still! Exciting, no?

See, and now you learned something too.  Home isn’t home without a Target Superstore within driving distance.
